The next time you are planning to see Epcot, why not try something new? You can eat or drink your way around the World Showcase and experience cuisine from all 11 countries! Here are some tips for accomplishing this trendy challenge!

Tips: If possible, plan a separate day for rides and full meal restaurant reservations. Devote one entire day to just the countries. If you have one meal or snack item from each country and share it if possible, you will succeed. Remember there are 14 countries! We also like to combine the eating/drinking challenge with exploring the countries, giving us time to digest. Many of the pavilions have movies or galleries where you can learn interesting facts about each country.
Suggestions for what to eat and see in each country:
Canada: Maple popcorn – found at the “Popcorn in Canada” cart right in front of the Canadian pavilion. Also be sure to view the movie: Canada Far and Wide in movie Circle-Vision 360 is shown inside the pavilion.
United Kingdom: Fish and Chips from “Yorkshire County Fish Shop.” Shareable but so delicious you may not want to. Of all the countries, this is our whole family’s favorite Epcot food item. Explore the tea and gift shops around the UK. Also, there is a traditional red phone booth for a great photo spot.
France: Crepes from “La Creperie de Paris.” We loved the savory Bechamel, Cheese & Ham Galette, and the sweet Housemade Hazelnut & Chocolate Spread Crepes. Also, at the Palais du Cinema see Impressions de France, usually shown early morning and evening (check posted times). During the day see/experience the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along at the same location.
Morocco: Kabobs from Tangierine Cafe: Flavors of the Medina. There is also a walk through pavilion with beautiful architecture and a small exhibit.
Japan: Frushi: from Outdoor Kitchen – Hanami (during the Flower & Garden Festival). This is sushi made from rice and fruit. Or try Kakigori (shaved Ice) from Kabuki Cafe.
The American Adventure: Funnel Cake from the Funnel Cake Kiosk. This is delicious fried dough topped with powdered sugar or other toppings of your choice. Also, be sure to check daily times and see the 30 minute show The American Adventure and enjoy the amazing Voices of Liberty. There is also a walk through exhibit the American Heritage Gallery. After experiencing this exhibit, you will no doubt leave feeling very patriotic!
Italy: Sorbetti from Gelateria Toscana. This is a refreshing snack that tastes like Italian Ice. Or Pizza from Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria (depending on how full you are).
Germany: Toasted Pretzel Bread or Warm Cheese Strudel (during Flower & Garden Festival) from Bauernmarkt: Farmer’s Market or Werther’s Original Caramel Popcorn from Karamell-Kuche.
China: House made Cheesy Crab Wontons from Lotus House Outdoor Kitchen (Flower & Garden Festival) or Chicken Pot Stickers from Lotus Cafe. Don’t miss the Reflections of China – a 12 minute Circle- Vision film all about ancient and modern China.
Norway: School Bread from Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe. This is bread with a filling similar to a Boston cream donut, with coconut sprinkled on top. There is a walk through exhibit called the Stave Church Gallery about Norse Gods, and the ever popular Frozen Ever After ride.
Mexico: Nachos from La Cantina de San Angel. If you have the time and the appetite, dining inside the Mexico pavilion at San Angel Inn Restaurante is a treat, even if you just order nachos. Mexico also has the best pavilion with many shops and displays. They have recently added many items from the movie “Coco.” And of course the Three Caballeros Ride is nostalgic and fun, and often has a very low wait time.
